relieving constipation
If you are not having at least one bowel movement per day, you are considered to be chronically constipated. Relieving constipation is extremely important for your overall health and well-being.
One of the most important things that you can do for relieving constipation is to increase the fiber that you are eating. Look at food labels when you are shopping. Compare and choose those foods that have a higher fiber content.
Make sure that you are eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
High fiber vegetables include Avocado, Beans, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Chick Peas, Eggplant, Greens (Collards, Kale, and Turnip Greens) Lima Beans, Potato (with the skin on!)), Pumpkin, Peas, Peppers, Rhubarb, Spinach, and Sweet Potatoes.
High fiber fruits include Apples, Bananas, Berries, Guava, Kiwi. Oranges, Pears, and Prunes.
Dried Fruits such as Figs, Raisins, Apricots, and Dates can be an excellent source of fiber for relieving constipation as well.
Bran cereals, such as Raisin Bran and All-Bran, are another excellent source of fiber that you can add to your daily diet. Read the labels and choose the bran cereal with the highest fiber content and that you enjoy eating.
Also, choose only whole grain breads to add extra fiber to your diet.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Not only will you feel better, but keeping yourself hydrated is key for relieving constipation.
Your body (and your bowels!) was made to move! Make sure that you get exercise during the day…even if it is just short walks spread throughout your day. A little bit of exercise that you enjoy each day can go a long way towards improving your overall health and feeling of well-being.
Natural herbs can also help you maintain good bowel health.
A wonderful drink that I discovered for relieving constipation and promoting digestive health is Dr Miller’s Holy Tea. It is a blend of all natural herbs that gently cleanses and detoxifies your body.
Holy Tea was developed and has been used successfully by Dr Bill Miller, PhD for his patients in his Tennessee clinic. It is now available worldwide.
Dr Miller maintains that keeping your bowel movements to two or three each day, will keep you healthy and keeps the waste build up out of your system, which may cause serious health problems.
I recently retired from my fire fighting career and wanted to cleanse and detoxify my body after years of exposure to toxic smoke and diesel particulates.
Fortunately, a friend recommended Holy Tea.
Not only am I detoxifying my body but I no longer experience gastric reflux and heartburn - and my sinuses are the clearest they have been in years!
Not only will you be relieving constipation by following these simple steps - you may find yourself on the road to losing weight, leading a healthier lifestyle, and feeling really great!
